Something mysterious this way comes...

A brand-new festival celebrating mystery literature in all its forms, lands in Liverpool this September. Taking place on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September, the Mystery Literary Festival (MLF) will be a family-friendly event, which welcomes bookworms and literature lovers from Liverpool and beyond to come together to read, write, learn and play.

Across the weekend there will be reading, writing, exhibitions, workshops, talks, shared reading taster sessions, performance, craft workshops for all ages, film, music, food and drinks and more...

Taking place in Wavertree’s Holy Trinity Church – described by Poet Laureate and author, Sir John Betjeman, as “Liverpool’s best Georgian church,” – the MLF is rooted in the local community, and aims to encourage visitors to explore the local area, including the festival’s namesake, the Mystery Park, which is located just opposite the festival venue.

The full programme of events will be announced soon, so make sure to check back regularly for festival news and clues. Or, follow us on our social media platforms - @mysteryliterary
